Direct Access to Beach

This delightful 4 bedroomed provencal bastide with direct access to the sea is situated in the renowned Agay Bay on the site of the old Chateau d'Agay on the Esterel Corniche between Cannes and St. Raphael. Agay itself has several restaurants, shops, "traiteurs" (delicatessens) and a weekly food market. Surrounded by the Esterel mountains there are also 85 kilometres of walks, horseriding in the Esterel and watersports in the Agay Bay.

There are several golf clubs in neighbouring Valescure and a small 9 hole links course in Agay itself. There are also tennis courts very close to the property. Many of the hilltop provencal villages are an easy drive away including Frejus (with its Roman remains), Callian, Montaroux, Les Adrets, and Flayosc as is the "Route des Vins des Cotes de Provence". There are several excursions by boat either from the Bay of Agay or from St. Raphael to the Iles de Lerins, just off the coast of Cannes, the Porquerolles and Port Cros National Park islands further along the coast and to St. Tropez and Port Grimaud. The Gorge du Verdon (France's Grand Canyon) is a wonderful drive away through vineyards and provencal hilltop villages and the well-known attractions of Cannes, (30 minutes by the spectacular coastal road) Nice, Monte Carlo, and Aix en Provence are an easy drive away. Italy is also only 2 hours away by motorway or the local coastal railway can take you along the coast at a more leisurely pace, passing through Antibes (Marineland & Picasso's Museum), Cannes, Nice (Matisse & Chagall museums), Monte Carlo (Palace of Monaco, Casino, Oceanographic Museum) and Ventigmilia (Italian restaurants, shops and beach and Friday Market).

OUR COMMENT: This recently constructed provencal bastide is in a wonderful setting overlooking the renowned Bay of Agay and has direct access to the sandy beach.
