This delightful private gite with its own entrance is situated on the 2nd floor of a two hundred year old farmhouse which nestles on the peaceful slopes of the medieval hilltop village of Crestet, five minutes away from Vaison-la-Romain. With its own apricot and cherry orchards on 2 sides, its own woodland above it and a vineyard just opposite the front gates, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside across to Mount Ventoux. The provencal hilltop village of Crestet is minutes walk away and is reckoned to be one of the prettiest in the area with its cobbled streets, courtyards and fountains. The Crestet pottery producing provencal and contemporary pottery is also only 5 minutes walk away. Avignon and Orange with their historic Roman centres, shops and museums are a 40 minute drive away and the vineyards of Cairanne, Gigondas, Beaumes de Venise, Chateauneuf du Pape are all close by to visit. Isle de la Sorgue (an attractive provencal village well known for its antique shops and antique market)  is an easy 30 minute drive and Marseilles and the coast is about 1h30 by car.

OUR COMMENT: 

This delightful very reasonably priced private gite has wonderful surroundings with magical views across vineyards with the added bonus of an attractive swimming pool in the grounds.
